TubeShelf is a Chrome extension that organizes YouTube and YouTube Music songs into your own YouTube playlists (by singer, music director, movie, and similar tags) with one click. This page explains what data TubeShelf accesses, how it's used, and what is (and isn't) stored.
chrome.identity sign-in. TubeShelf never sees your Google
password.TubeShelf's backend is stateless: it has no database. Each request is processed and then forgotten; nothing about you, your videos, or your playlists is retained on our server.
Locally, in your own browser's chrome.storage.local (never sent
anywhere), the extension keeps only:
Your OAuth access token and video ID are sent over HTTPS to TubeShelf's backend, which uses that token to call the official YouTube Data API on your behalf. The token is used only for the duration of that request and is not logged or stored.
You can revoke TubeShelf's access to your Google account at any time from Google Account → Security → Third-party access.
TubeShelf is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
